CreatorTools (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the CreatorTools website at creatortools.us (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Site and services.

Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Your password is securely hashed and is never stored in plain text. A username is automatically generated from your email address.
Payment Information
If you subscribe to CreatorTools Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full billing details on our servers. We store only your Stripe Customer ID, Subscription ID, plan type, and subscription status so we can manage your account. All payment processing is handled by Stripe in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
Usage Data
We track how many times you use each tool per month and how many AI captions you generate per day. This data is used solely to enforce usage limits based on your account tier (Guest, Free, or Pro).
Saved Content
If you save AI-generated captions to your library, we store the caption text, associated platforms, and the date saved. This data is tied to your user account and accessible only to you.
User Preferences
For the Instagram Follower Analyzer, if you choose to “ignore” certain usernames, that list is stored in your account preferences. You can modify or delete this list at any time.
IP Addresses
We temporarily collect IP addresses for rate limiting and security purposes (such as preventing abuse of our APIs). IP addresses are hashed, stored in temporary records that expire automatically, and are never stored permanently.
Information We Do Not Collect
Several of our tools process data entirely in your browser and never send it to our servers:
- Meta Tag Previewer — All analysis and preview rendering happens locally in your browser. No data is transmitted to our servers.
- Instagram Follower Analyzer — Your Instagram data export (ZIP file) is parsed entirely in your browser. Your follower and following lists never leave your device.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie:
- ct_session — An httpOnly session cookie used to keep you logged in. It contains a random session token, expires after 30 days, and cannot be read by JavaScript. This cookie is essential for the service to function and is not used for tracking or advertising.
We do not use any analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking cookies.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
OpenAI
Our AI Caption Generator sends your text input (and images, for Pro users) to OpenAI’s API to generate captions. OpenAI processes this data according to their Privacy Policy. We use the API configuration where data is not used to train OpenAI’s models.
Stripe
Stripe handles all payment processing for Pro subscriptions. When you subscribe, your email is shared with Stripe to create a customer record. Stripe’s handling of your payment information is governed by their Privacy Policy.
We do not use any other third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our services
- Authenticate your account and manage sessions
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Enforce usage limits based on your account tier
- Protect against abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
- Improve our services
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
- Session tokens are cryptographically random and stored as SHA-256 hashes
- Authentication cookies are httpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax
- API rate limiting to prevent abuse
- SSRF protection on all server-side URL fetching
No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Usage tracking data is kept on a monthly or daily cycle and becomes inactive after the relevant period ends. Saved captions are retained until you delete them or your account is closed. Temporary data such as rate-limiting records expires automatically within minutes to hours.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
